Each spring the Dutch countryside is tranformed into colourful linear grids of tulipfields. The stripes of colors are almost like a weaving or tapestry. To realise the Tulip Palepai, Tee worked with 30 tulipgrowers from the North of Holland and more then 30 variations of tulips were used in the work. Rare tulips, like the Queen of Night, or the Rembrandt tulip were sourced from the Hortus Bulborum in Limmen. This unique garden collection is entirely devoted to the conservation of bulb varieties, some tulips date back to the 16th century.
